The blog Eggminus.com had its inception way back in the year 2000. It has the unique privilege of being one of the very first blogs to be created on the internet - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog. In 2007, we decided to convert it to a public forum while maintaining the same underlying design - blog. A bulletin board like phpBB or vbulletin would have made more sense practically, but the traditional value would have been lost forever. Already most of our blog archives were lost. We managed to recover only the 2003-2005 periods which we manually posted back in the site when we upgraded it to Wordpress.

To attain the functionality while maintaining the design, we came up with a new idea. We decided to let everyone who registers in the site automatically get the privilege of an ‘author’. This would facilitate people to post complete blog posts on their own and not just comments unlike the other blogs. They can share whatever they wish to share with the community. They can also use the search function to search for things to read that interests them. Thus, we reserved ourselves to only moderation and hosting.

Thus in summary, anyone can register and create blog posts on any topic. We would host them all. We would try and moderate the posts as much as we could but with limited resources, we might end up missing out on a lot.

Hence we needed to put up a disclaimer to protect ourselves. It reads thus: Starting 2007 and until further notice, Eggminus.com is declared to be a free-for-all public forum. Hence, the management would not be responsible for the content of the site anymore.

However, if anyone has any problem whatsoever with any particular blog post, please do bring that to our attention by writing to abuse@eggminus.com and we promise we would take care of it as soon as possible. Also, if you find any copyright infringement in any of the posts, please bring them to our notice as well with sufficient proof.

Have a good one everyone!
